Building on over a decade of successful camps and our founder, drawing from his 20+ years of robotics teaching, training and curriculum development for schools and various departments of education across the US, we are pleased to offer After School Programs.
Here are some of the Programs we will offer this 2014-2015 school year:
SIMPLE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – Level I
In this program students learn and build simple machine, mechanical engineering and motorized mechanisms. The LEGO© Education simple machines solution is great for introducing key simple machines concepts while building teamwork and communication skills. Discovery learning at its best!
SIMPLE AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – Level II
Continuing from the Level I, student will build more advanced models, as well as challenge models they build and design themselves. With this platform, students will build and explore machines and mechanisms, investigate motorized machines, calibrate and capture wind, and study gearing mechanisms.
MASTER BUILDER ACADEMY –LEVEL I
LEVEL I - For decades, LEGO© enthusiasts have wondered “how’d they do that” when they see a LEGO© Master Builder at work or when they open the newest set from the store. We were excited to test a pilot program for LEGO© last summer featuring the LEGO© Master Builders sets, Series 1-6/
Each series will teach the secrets behind the builds we know and love. This includes everything from stable build techniques to micro design to wheeled autos; everyone who attends this Camp will learn how to be a Master Builder!
We are exploring expanding to offer Level 2 in the near future.
GREEN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY
Learn about the basic of Green Technology while having great fun. This kit contains all kinds of Green Technology including Solar panels. Students will explore renewable energy sources; investigate energy supply, transfer, accumulation, conversion, and consumption; and use measurements and data analysis to describe and explain outcomes through hands-on activities and exciting, real-life models.
LEGO© Mindstorm Robotics with the ALL NEW LEGO© Mindstorm EV3 set. All of the sets feature LEGO© Building Instructions and Lesson Briefs; some demonstrate using videos. The skillsets learned include real programming, troubleshooting and engineering principles.
